In addition, she actively served four years in the United States Air Force as a registered nurse and continues to serve in the West Virginia Air National Guard. She and her husband Ryan, a Star City native, are thankful to be located in the Roanoke Valley surrounded by family and their two dogs, Sadie and Maggie.
